Q: Do you handle all types of medical providers?
    A: MARS specializes in revenue cycle management for home healthcare providers, specifically home infusion therapy, nursing, respiratory, and specialty pharmacy companies.
Q: What types of accounts receivable services can MARS offer home healthcare providers?
    A: MARS can offer reimbursement resources to assist in:
    • Billing
    • The recovery of an aged A/R due to an acquisition, facility closure or obsolete information system.
    • Collection focus for a company with staffing issues, i.e. heavy turnover or rapid growth
    • Collection of a specific block of problem accounts (by payer, or age).

Q: Are you a collection agency?
    A: MARS is a consulting company hired by home healthcare providers to obtain reimbursement from third party payers for their services.
Q: Do you handle all types of insurance companies?
    A: MARS staff have experience with all third party payers, including Medicare B, C, D, Medicaid, Commercial (Blues, UHC, etc.) with extensive knowledge in managed care and "capitated" (shared risk) programs.

Q: Do you handle patient collections?
    A: MARS will pursue the collection of patient payments "on behalf of a medical provider", i.e. copayments, deductibles, and non-covered services, however, MARS does not report to any credit bureaus and is not a collection agency. MARS’ staff are sensitive communicators and understand the importance of patient relations.
Q: Where are you located?
    A: MARS is located in Southern California and handles projects for clients nationwide. MARS’ Account Managers are assigned projects by geographic location. Hours of operation are from 9AM EST to 5PM PST.
Q: What do you charge for the collection of accounts?
    Collection projects are self funded. MARS charges a contingency fee based on cash recovered. The percent charged is calculated based on the age of the accounts and payer mix. MARS’ charges no ‘set up’ fees.
